Balizamiento (Buoyage)

El sistema de balizamiento sirve para que la entrada en el puerto sea más segura. El sistema que vamos a aprender es el IALA A que es el usado en Europa, y en la mayoría del mundo, exceptuando América.


 Para señalar el camino hay dos boyas, una de color rojo, y de forma cuadrada, que hay que dejar a babor. La otra de color verde y con forma de cono hay que dejarla a estribor.

Otro tipo de boyas es el que expresa peligro o seguridad. Las boyas cardinales son amarillas y negras, y dependiendo de como estén pintadas y hacia dónde señalen las flechas que tienen en la parte de arriba deberás mantenerte al Norte, Sur, Este u Oeste de ellas.







Esta boya significa que no es seguro acercarse. Se suele poner encima de islas pequeñas.

Esta boya significa que las aguas son suficientemente profundas para navegar de forma segura.

Esta boya significa que las aguas son poco profundas, y no conviene navegar cerca. Puede encontrarse sin la cruz encima.








In this article I'll explain the buoyage system IALA A, which is used to enter the harbour without harming your boat or your crew.This system is used in most of the world, but not in the American continent.
To show you which way you need to go there are two buoys. One is red and has a can shape, its the buoy you have to leave at your port side. The other one is green and has a cone form, it's the buoy you need to leave on your starboard side.




The cardinal buoys are used to warn danger. They are black and yellow, and depending on the patern they are painted with, and the arrows on top of them, it means yo have to stay North, South, West or East of them.







This buoy signals isolated danger. They are usually on top of little islands and you should stay away from them.





This is the fairway buoy, and it indicates that you're in safe waters.








This is the special mark, and indicates shallow waters, you can also see it without the cross on top of it.
